At Euroflorist, we understand that sometimes the recipient may not be home when the flowers are delivered. In this article, we'll explain our process for such situations and how we ensure successful delivery, even when no one is available to receive the bouquet.
If the courier delivering florist flowers does not find the recipient at the address provided and within the time period indicated in the order, (s)he may do one of those things:
1.Leave flowers with a neighbour or in a safe place
Our dedicated florists and couriers will make every effort to deliver the flowers directly to the recipient. In cases where the recipient is not home, they will try to leave the bouquet with a neighbour or in a safe and secure location at the delivery address. This ensures that the flowers can still be enjoyed, even if the recipient is not present at the time of delivery.
2. Contact the recipient to arrange a second delivery attempt
The florist may also call or send a text message to the addressee with a request to contact the courier by phone. A re-delivery attempt will be arranged directly with the recipient.
Return
If there is no safe place available to leave the flowers and/or if there is no response (if the recipient of the order does not answer the phone or does not contact the florist or the Euroflorist office), the parcel will be returned to the depot or flower shop, where it will be available for collection (3 days in case of Florist Flowers). After this time, the order will be considered delivered. It's important to note that while we make every effort to maintain the freshness of the flowers, we cannot guarantee their freshness in such cases.
Avoiding missed deliveries
To prevent missed deliveries, we recommend:
- Specifying a safe space where flowers can be left in case of absence (e.g. a trusted neighbour or a store downstairs). You can specify your delivery preferences in the " Special instructions" field during checkout.
- For courier delivered flowers: sending the Track & Trace link to the recipient. This allows them to adjust the delivery timethemselves if they won't be home to receive the package.
